Dänische Gesandtschaft, Former Danish Embassy building in Tiergarten, Berlin, Germany.

The Danish Legation is a three-story building with a gently curved limestone facade arranged symmetrically around its main entrance. The structure features travertine and granite details that accent its entrances and surfaces.

The building was designed and constructed between 1938 and 1940 by Johann Emil Schaudt as Denmark's diplomatic representation in Germany. Its construction period fell during a time of profound political upheaval across Europe.

The building reflects both Danish and German design traditions in how it was constructed and detailed. Visitors can see how these two countries expressed their diplomatic presence through architectural choices.

The building is located near the Berlin Zoo and next to the Spanish Embassy, making it easy to navigate in this area. You can study the facade and architectural features from the outside.

The entrance area features an unusual layout with a large gateway passage flanked by separate stairways leading to different building sections. This design cleverly separates public and private spaces within one structure.
