Meisterturm, Steel observation tower in Hofheim am Taunus, Germany.
The Meisterturm is a steel observation tower located on Kapellenberg near Hofheim am Taunus. It features 173 steps that lead to a viewing platform allowing visitors to survey the surrounding landscape from above.
An original wooden tower was built on this site in 1895 and named after administrator Dr. Wilhelm von Meister. The current steel structure replaced it in 1929 and has remained in place since.
The tower attracts hikers and day visitors exploring the regional parklands. It functions as a gathering spot where people pause to take in the surrounding views.
The tower is accessible via several hiking trails that connect to the Regionalpark Rhein-Main network. These paths link to a wider system of routes throughout the region.
On clear days, visitors can see across multiple directions from the platform, including views toward the Mainebene plains and distant Odenwald mountains. This vantage point reveals the geographic diversity of the wider region.
