Erentrudiskapelle, Chapel on Kapellenberg hill in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany.
The Erentrudiskapelle sits at 260 meters elevation on Kapellenberg, offering views of Kandel, Feldberg, Blauen mountains, Kaiserstuhl region, and Rhine Valley.
The current chapel, constructed in 1715, replaced an earlier structure destroyed by French troops during the War of Spanish Succession in 1666.
The chapel contains sculptures of Saints Trudpert and Rupert created by monastery sculptor Matthias Faller, plus a statue of Saint Erentrudis gifted from Salzburg.
Religious services occur every two weeks on Tuesday evenings during summer months, while the chapel hosts between 20 and 30 weddings annually.
The site served as a pilgrimage destination near the southern edge of Tuniberg since approximately 1000 CE, with connections to Strasbourg's St. Stephen monastery.
