Immanuel-Kirche

Immanuel-Kirche is a church building in Dortmund with a Greek cross floor plan and a central dome structure. The asymmetrical facade features a prominent tower positioned on the left side of the building.

The building opened in 1908 after roughly two years of construction. Its design incorporated historicist architectural elements that continue to shape its appearance today.

Walking inside reveals light blue and green walls decorated with geometric patterns and stylized floral motifs throughout the space. These colors and ornamental details create a distinctive character that reflects the artistic approach of the period.

The exterior walls are made from Westerwald granite blocks, giving the building distinctive solidity. Inside, a flat inner dome with a round stained glass window depicting a dove creates an unexpected focal point.
