Westfälisches Schulmuseum Dortmund

The Westfalisches Schulmuseum Dortmund is housed in a protected school building from 1905 and shows how classrooms and teaching looked in the early 20th century. The museum holds a large collection of school objects, teaching materials, and documents that record the development of German education across several periods.

The museum documents teaching and school life from the Middle Ages through the National Socialist period. The exhibition shows how teaching methods, school buildings, and the role of schools in society changed fundamentally.
