DASA – Arbeitswelt Ausstellung, Work and industry museum in Dortmund, Germany.
DASA – Arbeitswelt Ausstellung is a museum in Dortmund focused on work, safety, and industry. The exhibition spans multiple floors and displays machinery, equipment, and interactive installations showing how workplaces have developed.
The museum was founded in 1993 by the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health to document work and safety history in Germany. It was created during a period of major technical change in German industry.
The exhibition shows how people work in different fields and what matters to them on the job. Recreated workspaces reveal how jobs have changed from traditional crafts to modern office work.
Visitors can explore ten different work sectors and experiment with simulators and equipment along the way. Most exhibits are designed to be interactive, so you can try many things yourself.
The museum houses a full-scale replica of a printing press where visitors can follow the complete newspaper production process. This working example shows how information was spread before the digital age.
