Tremoniapark

Tremoniapark is an urban park in Dortmund built on the grounds of a former industrial site, featuring open grasslands, walking paths, basketball courts, and patches of woodland. The layout offers multiple access points and different activity zones throughout the space.

The site was originally home to the Carl von Born ironworks and later operated by Phoenix AG and Vereinigte Stahlwerke AG before transforming into a public space. This shift from industrial production to a green space marks a significant change in the area's purpose.

The park preserves industrial remnants like Klöpperböden pressure vessels that tell the story of Dortmund's manufacturing past. These artifacts give visitors a sense of how factories once shaped this place.
