Established in 1909 through donations from the Munich Child Protection Association, the hospital initially provided 75 beds for infants and 12 beds for mothers.
The Chrysanthemum Ball, Munich's oldest charity event, started collecting donations for the hospital in 1925, supporting its medical and social initiatives.
The facility operated until 2002, when operations moved to a new location at the Hospital of the Third Order due to the building's renovation costs.
The hospital earned international recognition as a model facility, influencing the design and operations of numerous children's medical centers across Europe.
