The Ständehaus features a grand plenary hall decorated with coffered ceilings and monumental paintings created by artist Hugo Vogel.
The building, completed in 1895, served as the assembly location for the Provincial Committee of Saxony until 1933.
Following extensive restoration work, the Ständehaus opened its doors on October 3, 2003, as a central venue for conferences and cultural events.
The facility provides guided tours, meeting spaces with technical equipment, and includes a café for visitors and event participants.
The Ständehaus belongs to the FrauenOrte network of Saxony-Anhalt, which documents and highlights the historical contributions of women in the region.
