Seehügel, Mountain summit in Fichtelgebirge, Germany.
Seehügel is a mountain summit in the Fichtelgebirge range of northern Bavaria, rising to 953 meters above sea level. The peak stands among forested slopes with open views that extend across the surrounding terrain on clear days.
The mountain takes its name from a nearby lake and has long been a recognized destination for hikers in the region. Over time, a network of established trails connected this peak with other locations throughout the Fichtelgebirge.
German mountaineers regularly gather at the nearby Seehaus mountain hut, located 256 meters west-northwest from the summit.
Access to the summit is via marked hiking trails that begin from several trailheads in the surrounding area. The routes are well marked and of moderate difficulty, making them suitable for hikers with reasonable experience.
A saddle point near the summit is a recognized feature among mapmakers and marks an important spot in the terrain profile. This col lies several hundred meters from the highest point and creates a natural transition between two slopes.
