Rennhof, Late Neoclassical château in Hüttenfeld, Lampertheim, Germany.
Rennhof is a late Neoclassical manor house on the Bergstrasse region showcasing Empire style design with elegant proportions. Its restored facade displays the original 1853 composition with symmetrical forms and refined architectural details.
Baron Mayer Carl von Rothschild built the manor in 1853 as a prestigious residence. Ownership changed several times later, with the Löwenstein-Wertheim-Freudenberg family acquiring it in 1889.
The building has housed a gymnasium since 1954 and serves as a gathering place for the German Lithuanian community. Regular events and meetings held here form an important part of local cultural life.
The manor is located at Lorscher Str. 1 in Lampertheim and available for events such as conferences and celebrations. Visitors should check in advance about current availability since the building is also reserved for private functions.
A fire severely damaged the building in 1984, after which the facade was completely restored according to the original designs. This restoration allows visitors today to see the manor much as Mayer Carl von Rothschild originally envisioned it.
