St. Elisabeth

St. Elisabeth is a concrete church building in Freiburg's Brühl district featuring large cast iron portals at the west facade and a cassette ceiling supported by four sturdy concrete pillars. The structure displays clean modern geometry, with the distinctive bell tower serving as its vertical focal point.

The building was designed in 1965 by architect Rainer Disse and served as a church until its deconsecration in 2006. It was subsequently converted into residential apartments while preserving its structural character.
