St John's Church, Protestant church in Altona-Altstadt, Germany
The Gothic Revival building features pointed arches, tall windows, and detailed stone carvings that extend across its entire architectural structure.
Built in 1873 under the direction of architect Johannes Otzen, the church marked his first major religious construction project in Hamburg.
The church functions as Kulturkirche Altona, hosting numerous concerts, recitals, theatrical performances, and community gatherings throughout the year.
Located at Max-Brauer-Allee 199, the church opens its doors for religious services and maintains rental spaces for various community events.
The church's position near Feuersee creates a distinct architectural focal point at the beginning of Johannesstraße in the Altona district.
