Fürstenbaumuseum, Regional art museum at Marienberg Fortress in Würzburg, Germany
The museum consists of 45 exhibition rooms displaying paintings, sculptures, and archaeological artifacts from the Franconian region within stone fortress walls.
Originally established in 1831 as the Antiquarium of the Historical Association, the museum relocated to Marienberg Fortress in 1947 after wartime destruction.
The collection features works by German sculptor Tilman Riemenschneider and numerous artworks representing Franconian artistic traditions through the centuries.
The museum opens from March through October, Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00 to 18:00, with winter closure from November to mid-March.
The exhibition includes detailed city models documenting the architectural evolution of Würzburg across different historical periods.
