Residenz Bleichröder

Residenz Bleichröder is a villa located at the center of Heringsdorf, standing directly on the waterfront promenade. The property includes planted grounds and was later adapted to contain modern residential apartments available for visitors to rent.

The villa was built in 1908 for the Bleichröder family, who worked in banking. The property changed hands several times and was restructured and repurposed during the second half of the 20th century.

The building reflects architectural styles favored along the Baltic coast and shows features typical of early 20th-century seaside resorts. It remains recognizable today as a marker of the era when such structures were built and shaped the waterfront.

The location is easy to reach from the waterfront path and lies within walking distance of other city attractions. Facilities for visitors are well equipped, including parking available on the grounds.

After the war, the building served as lodging for troops from the east and was later renamed to reflect this new chapter. This repurposing significantly changed what the place represented and is little known today.
