Wigbertikirche, Roman Catholic parish church in Erfurt, Germany.
The Wigbertikirche features Gothic architecture with a distinctive tower from 1409 and a late Gothic nave completed in 1434.
The church changed hands between Catholics and Protestants during the Reformation until becoming permanently Catholic in 1606.
The church honors Saint Wigbert, a companion of Saint Boniface who contributed to the establishment of Christianity in Germany.
Services take place in the main hall of the church, which underwent extensive renovations and received new windows at the beginning of the 2000s.
The church tower served as a residential fire watchtower from 1563 to 1878, providing surveillance over the city of Erfurt.
