Künstlerhaus Nürnberg is a 1910 building opposite Nuremberg's main station at the Königstor gate to the old town. Its roughly 7,000 square metres hold exhibition rooms, cinema auditoriums, workshops, restaurants and concert and event halls, stretching from Königstraße to the Kulturgarten and bordered by the Königstormauer and Königstorgraben.

The Künstlerhaus was built in 1910 as an exhibition and social building for Nuremberg's artists' associations. After the Second World War it served various purposes, and from 1973 to 1997 it operated as KOMM, one of Germany's first self-administered sociocultural centres. After renovation it reopened on 4 December 1996 under municipal management, first as K4 and since January 2008 as part of the KunstKulturQuartier.

The name KOMM, used from 1973 to 1997, recalls the building's years as one of Germany's first self-managed sociocultural centres. Since December 1996 the city has run the house with its resident associations and groups, called K4 from then on and, since January 2008, Künstlerhaus im KunstKulturQuartier. The Zentralcafé and the Offene Werkstätten of the Werkbund Werkstatt Nürnberg are part of the house.

The house stands on Königstraße opposite Nuremberg's main station, at the Königstor gateway into the old town, and runs back to the Kulturgarten between the Königstormauer wall and the Königstorgraben. Its roughly 7,000 square metres hold exhibition rooms, cinema auditoriums, workshops, restaurants and concert spaces. The north wing was closed for a full renovation from April 2019 to 2024; during that time some groups moved to Peuntgasse 5–7 and the Zentralcafé used a converted canteen across the street.

The building houses specialized workshops where professional artists and visitors collaborate on projects and learn from each other. This hands-on approach creates a meaningful connection between established creators and interested members of the public.
