Haus Langen

The structure features two concentric moats surrounding a central island with a manor house and several historical buildings including a water mill.

First mentioned in 1150 under the Bishop of Münster's feudal authority, the castle was completely destroyed in 1276 by Bishop Everhard von Diest.

The property belonged to the Knights of Langen, a West Phalian noble family, until 1378 when it passed to the Letmathe family through inheritance.

The site is accessible by bicycle or bus transportation, as there are no parking facilities available for private vehicles at the location.

The water mill, originally used for oil production and later for grain processing, remained operational until the 1960s at this medieval estate.
