Kransberg Castle, Medieval castle in Usingen, Germany.
The castle stands on a steep rock in the Taunus mountains of Hesse, approximately 40 kilometers north of Frankfurt am Main.
The initial structure was built around 1170, with the first documented owner being Erwinus de Cranichesberc in 1250 before passing to Duke Philipp IV von Falkenstein.
Baron Arnold von Biegeleben reconstructed the castle in neogothic style during 1874 while maintaining elements of the original medieval architecture.
The castle operates as a venue for weddings and classical music concerts, managed by current owner Sebahattin Özkan who resides within the property.
During World War II, the castle contained an extensive bunker complex and served as a command headquarters under the designation Adlerhorst.
