Havelse, Administrative district in Garbsen, Germany
Havelse is a residential district in Garbsen situated between the Leine River meadows and the Mittelland Canal. The area contains various shops and service facilities distributed along its main streets.
The area was first recorded in 1196 as Hauekesla and remained a small village for centuries. It developed into a modern residential area following its incorporation into the city of Garbsen in 1967.
The district features the Wilhelm Langrehr Stadium, home to TSV Havelse football club, which gained national recognition during its time in Germany's second division.
Regular bus connections link the district to neighboring areas and Garbsen. Multiple transit stops are located throughout the residential area for easy access.
The district emblem features a hawk perched on a golden oak branch, created by designer Gustav Völker. This symbol was officially recognized in 1964 and remains a mark of local identity.
