Neuer Aachener Kunstverein, Contemporary art museum and association in Stadtgarten, Aachen, Germany
The Neuer Aachener Kunstverein occupies a modern building in the Stadtgarten, featuring multiple exhibition spaces dedicated to contemporary art presentations.
Founded in 1986 by local citizens and artists, the institution initially operated from small downtown shops before moving to Rudolfstrasse in 1988.
The museum presents five to seven exhibitions annually, featuring works from German and international artists, complemented by lectures and film screenings.
The museum opens daily except Mondays from 2 PM to 6 PM, with special evening events scheduled for art discussions and artist meetings.
The institution received recognition through the Adam Elsheimer Prize at Art Frankfurt and maintains support from the Twodo Collection, a group of 24 patrons.
