Haus Broich, Manor estate in Willich, Germany
The manor estate features a grand main building with a prominent tower and a quadrangular courtyard surrounded by agricultural structures.
First mentioned in 1247 as property of Adolf de Broich, the estate underwent reconstruction in 1898 following plans by Cologne architect Theodor Ross.
From 1946 to 1995, the Sisters of Saint Elizabeth operated the estate as a children's home and spiritual center for religious groups.
The protected historical building now functions as a private boarding school, managed by BoMa Asset Management Company since 2018.
Between 2006 and 2021, the estate served as one of two locations for the North Rhine-Westphalia State Police Mounted Squad.
