St. Katharina, Catholic church in Bad Soden, Germany.

St. Katharina is a Catholic church in Bad Soden am Taunus featuring a main sanctuary and a separate Marienkapelle for private prayer. The building stands on Salinenstraße and accommodates religious services and cultural events for the local community.

The first chapel on this site was consecrated in 1864, but the present church is a 1950s replacement: Max Baginski financed it entirely, Paul Johannbroer of Wiesbaden designed it, and Limburg bishop Wilhelm Kempf consecrated it on 1 September 1957. The old parish church was demolished in the 1950s.

The parish is named after St. Catherine of Alexandria, whose image was placed on the neo-Gothic wooden altar built in 1893. The church's large stained-glass window depicting the Nativity of Christ was reproduced on Germany's 2020 Christmas postage stamp. Sister Paula, a Franciscan from Thuin, served for years as sacristan and caretaker and cared for homeless people in Bad Soden until her death in 2006.

The large stained-glass window showing the Nativity of Christ was chosen as the motif of Germany's 2020 Christmas postage stamp. The church's first organ was inaugurated on 25 November 1957 by Limburg cathedral conductor Hans Pabst, with Frankfurt organist Wilhelm Stollenwerk playing baroque, classical and modern pieces.
