Historisches Rathaus, Renaissance town hall in Deidesheim, Germany
The historical town hall features a double outdoor staircase with a canopy, flanked by Tuscan columns and decorated with ornamental framework.
Originally constructed in 1532 on the foundations of a Romanesque market hall, the building underwent reconstruction in the early 18th century following fire damage.
The council chamber contains stained glass windows displaying coats of arms of former noble families and a portrait of King Wenceslaus who granted city rights.
The building houses the mayor's offices, the historical council chamber, and the Museum of Wine Culture, which can be visited during opening hours.
Every Pentecost Tuesday, the town hall serves as the backdrop for the traditional goat auction, a centuries-old local tradition.
