Herz-Jesu-Kirche is a parish church in Püttlingen built in the Gothic Revival style with pointed arch windows and ribbed vault ceilings. The structure displays careful stonework from the late 1800s with thick walls and decorative details throughout.
The building was designed by architect Wilhelm Hector and completed in 1899. It represents the construction practices of the late 1800s when communities across Germany built new religious structures in historical styles.
The church is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Its neo-Gothic high altar, made in the construction period, now serves as a tabernacle, while its base and mensa form the celebration altar. The hanging cross above is an Oberammergau wood carving.
The church stands in the Köllerbach district of Püttlingen, not in the town centre. The organ gallery in the first bay of the west facade is reached by spiral staircases winding around columns. The 1976 Hugo Mayer organ has 24 stops on two manuals and pedal.
