Wetterpark Offenbach

Wetterpark Offenbach is an education park with 14 outdoor stations that demonstrate different weather processes through interactive installations. The grounds spread across a large area with different sections where visitors can explore wind, precipitation, and air currents firsthand.

The park was founded in 2005 through a partnership between the City of Offenbach, the German Weather Service, and a regional planning organization. This collaboration created a place that combines scientific weather observation with public education.

The space gets its name from its focus on weather phenomena and serves as a place where visitors can understand meteorological concepts through hands-on experience. The stations invite people to physically engage with displays about wind, rain, and other atmospheric events.

The park is open daily and can be freely accessed. A visitor center offers extended hours during warmer months and helps answer questions on site.

An observation tower in the park offers views of Frankfurt's skyline and surrounding mountains while also containing instruments that monitor the atmosphere. The tower merges sightseeing with actual weather measurement.
