Herrenhaus

The Herrenhaus stands as a seven-axis stone building with timber framing in the upper floor and shingle-covered gables in Fränkisch-Crumbach.

Built between 1572 and 1574 by Philipp von Rodenstein and his wife Margarethe von Habern, the manor house was reconstructed in 1645 after destruction during the Thirty Years' War.

The manor complex includes a historical cellar now serving as a local museum, an Evangelical parish church with noble pews, and artistically significant Rodensteiner tombstones.

The property remains inhabited by the von Gemmingen family and maintains a rectangular courtyard estate with an eastern baroque park featuring the Sarolta Chapel.

The building entrance displays a remarkable double-flight baroque staircase from the 18th century and bears the Rodensteiner coat of arms on its front wall.
