Waisenhaus München, Orphanage and architectural heritage monument in Munich, Germany.

The Waisenhaus München is a four-story building with traditional Bavarian architectural features located at Waisenhausstraße 43. Its facade displays symmetrically arranged windows and detailed stonework that reflects the craftsmanship of the late 1800s.

The building was constructed between 1896 and 1899 as a response to the needs of orphaned children in growing Munich. It represents the social progress that followed industrialization and urban expansion.

The name Waisenhaus still reflects its original purpose within the city today. Visitors can see in the building's design how Munich's society of the late 1800s took responsibility for children without families.

The building is centrally located in Munich and easy to reach by public transport. Waisenhausstraße 43 offers good pedestrian access and is situated in a residential area with adequate parking.

The building continues to serve as a care facility for children today while simultaneously holding protected heritage status. This dual function makes it a rare example where historical preservation and contemporary social work coexist.
