Klosterkirche St. Georg und Pancratius

Klosterkirche St. Georg und Pancratius is a Romanesque monastery church in Hecklingen with two towers on its western facade and a square floor plan centered on a crossing. The interior space is shaped by Saxon design principles visible in the arrangement of columns and arches throughout the structure.

Construction began around 1150 and was completed between 1225 and 1230 during the High Romanesque period. This extended building timeline reflects the architectural complexity and substantial effort required to create such a structure.
