Klosterkirche St. Georg und Pancratius

The church features two towers on its western side and follows a square layout with a central crossing of the nave through Saxon design principles.

Construction of the Klosterkirche St. Georg und Pancratius began in 1150 and reached completion between 1225 and 1230 during the High Romanesque period.

The interior contains fourteen stucco angels along the arches, with some holding trumpets and others carrying scrolls, representing Saxon Byzantine artistic traditions.

The church opens for guided tours during weekdays and weekends, allowing visitors to explore the historical architecture and religious artifacts.

The Rühlmann organ from 1884 maintains its original structure with two manuals and twenty-two registers, providing music during summer concerts.
