Kleiner Rummelsberg

Kleiner Rummelsberg is a mountain summit in the Barnimer Land region that rises 81 meters above sea level. The peak overlooks the Wesensee lake and displays the glacial landforms that shaped the area during the last ice age.

The summit formed through glacial movements during the last ice age, which shaped the local geography and created the lakes in the surrounding area. This ice age landscape continues to define the region's appearance today.

The summit sits within the Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve and supports protected continental grasslands that sustain local plant life. You can observe these special habitats while climbing to the top.

The mountain is accessible via well-maintained pathways and steps, with several observation points offering different views of the landscape. Wear sturdy footwear since the paths can be slippery, especially after rain or in damp conditions.

The summit stands just one meter lower than the nearby Große Rummelsberg, yet remains open to visitors while its taller neighbor stays closed for conservation reasons. This makes it the better choice for those seeking the best views of the region.
