Koeth-Wanscheidsches Schloss, Baroque château in Dirmstein, Germany
The Koeth-Wanscheidsches Schloss presents a late Baroque noble court with two lower side wings extending from the central building and a front courtyard.
The construction of the château occurred between 1715 and 1718, following the destruction of previous structures during the War of the Palatine Succession in 1689.
The château maintains connections with regional art history through paintings by Louis Coblitz, who documented the building and its surroundings in 1861.
The château currently operates as a psychosomatic acute clinic with 52 beds, incorporating therapy rooms, offices, and an indoor archery facility in the vaulted cellar.
The property features an English garden designed by Heidelberg garden director Johann Metzger between 1824 and 1841 for the von Camuzi family.
