Kulturhaus Zinnowitz, Cultural heritage monument in Zinnowitz, Germany.
Kulturhaus Zinnowitz is a building with five connected wings arranged symmetrically and featuring columns along the side sections. Inside were a theater hall, a dance cafe, a library, and a dining room that together formed a multipurpose cultural center.
Built between 1953 and 1957, the building originally carried the name Kulturhaus Deutsch-Sowjetische Freundschaft. Following German reunification, the name was changed to its present form.
The building served as the main gathering place for entertainment and performances in the town for decades. Locals came here for theater, dancing, and social events, making it a central meeting point for the community.
The building is currently undergoing transformation into a residential complex with 86 apartments, so access may be limited during renovation. Visitors should check ahead and be aware that interior spaces and layouts may differ from their original configuration.
The building displays characteristics of East German socialist classicism architecture. Its columns and symmetrical design reflect the architectural style preferences of that era.
