Landesbühnen Sachsen, Theatre company and opera house in Radebeul, Germany.
Landesbühnen Sachsen is an opera house and theatre venue with two performance spaces: a main hall with 399 seats and a smaller stage with 99 seats. The building has a modern glass-entrance foyer that opens to the public areas.
The theatre began in 1945 from a former tavern building called Goldne Weintraube. In 1951, actors from Schwerin's Maxim Gorki Theater joined and helped shape the venue's direction.
The venue presents around 26 new productions each year, mixing operas, operettas, and theatre pieces. Working with Elbland Philharmonie Sachsen helps create a varied program that keeps the schedule fresh and interesting.
Ticket holders get free public transportation within the VVO network and have parking spaces nearby. The two different halls allow you to choose shows based on the size of production you prefer.
The original tavern building is now used as both a restaurant and small performance space after renovations in 2014. This dual purpose brings together food and theatre on the historic site.
