Construction of the church began with a tower in the 12th century, followed by the addition of a substantial choir around 1350.
Memorial plates within the choir commemorate local lords from the Nippenburger and Varnbüler families, alongside statues of Saints Lawrence and George.
The church maintains a maximum heating temperature of 16 degrees Celsius during winter, and visitors are encouraged to bring blankets.
The church bell system includes three bells, with one cast in 1722 weighing 900 kg and another from 1698 weighing 400 kg.
