Liebfrauenkirche, Catholic parish church in Bocholt, Germany.
The Liebfrauenkirche is a brick church in Bocholt that was built between 1786 and 1792. The building features an apsidal choir, a large columned hall, and a tower positioned on the northern side.
The Minorites received permission to build this church in 1785 after establishing a school in the area. Construction took six years to complete and became an important center of religious life for the city.
The high altar displays vine carvings from the late 17th century that showcase detailed craftsmanship. Stained glass windows from the 1970s shape the interior light and add color to the worship space.
The interior can accommodate about 550 visitors with good sightlines throughout the columned space. A large organ installed in 1979 fills the church with sound during services and musical events.
Four bronze bells hang in the tower, including historical pieces cast in the 18th century. These older bells ring alongside newer additions from the 20th century, marking different periods in the building's life.
