Max-Planck-Gymnasium Nürtingen, Educational heritage monument in Nürtingen, Germany.
Max-Planck-Gymnasium is a secondary school in Nürtingen, Baden-Württemberg, with a heritage-listed main building from the early 20th century and several extensions added over the decades. The campus includes specialized classrooms, a sports hall, and a music room.
The main building was constructed in 1914 and used as a military hospital during World War I. From 1919 onwards it became a school, and teaching has continued at this site ever since.
The early 20th-century building is listed as a heritage monument and is a recognizable part of the townscape of Nürtingen. Passersby can clearly see its historic facade with large windows and a symmetrical layout.
The school sits in central Nürtingen, close to the train station, and is easy to reach on foot or by public transport. Since it is an active school, any visit should be planned outside of teaching hours and arranged in advance.
The school choir won first place at the German Choir Competition in 2009 in the amateur choir category. This result shows that music has long been taken seriously as part of school life here.
