Maria Königin des Friedens, Catholic parish church in Obergiesing, Munich, Germany
The church features a 66-meter-long nave with narrow high windows, a 43-meter tower clad in conglomerate stone, and a width of 23 meters.
Built in 1935 and consecrated in 1937 by Cardinal Michael von Faulhaber, the church underwent reconstruction in 1946 after sustaining damage during World War II.
The choir fresco depicts the Madonna and Child accompanied by two angels, while the entrance portal displays a relief created by Karl Knappe.
The church holds regular services throughout the week, including a Sunday Mass at 11:00, and maintains three organs for musical accompaniment.
The original plans designated Saint Thomas More as patron, but this was changed to avoid conflicts with the National Socialist authorities.
