Lukaskirche

The Lukaskirche is a church building in the Gothic Revival style with tall spires, detailed stonework, and large colored windows. Light streams through these glass panels and naturally illuminates the entire interior space.

The building was constructed between 1894 and 1896 during a period of rapid growth and expansion of Berlin's neighborhoods. Architect Johann Heinrich Strack designed it at a time when the city was undergoing significant transformation.

The church is dedicated to Saint Luke and carries his name through its architectural design and interior furnishings. Visitors can sense the spiritual focus of the place in the decorative elements and the way the space is arranged.

The interior houses original stained glass panels from the 1800s depicting scenes from the Gospel of Luke across its windows. These colored panels have remained in place for generations and shape how light enters the building.
