The first Mennonite settlers arrived in Ibersheim around 1661, establishing one of the oldest Mennonite communities in the Palatinate region of Germany.
The church interior follows traditional Mennonite design principles with a central pulpit, reflecting their focus on preaching and simple worship spaces.
The building contains two separate rooms in its eastern section that serve as meeting spaces for youth activities and community gatherings.
This structure stands as the only Mennonite church in southern Germany equipped with both a church tower and bells, installed in 1866.
