Nützenbergpark, Forest park in Elberfeld-West district, Germany
Nützenbergpark is a forest park located on elevated terrain at about 259 meters, covering roughly 41 hectares of mixed woodland. The grounds contain oak, ash, maple, birch, and beech trees distributed throughout the area.
The Elberfeld Beautification Association established this park in 1874 as a green space for the district. The Weyerbusch Tower was added in 1898 to serve as an observation point.
The park serves as a venue for summer festivals held near the playground area, where local families and neighbors gather for outdoor celebrations together. People in the community use the space regularly for shared activities and gatherings.
The lower section allows dogs to roam off-leash, while other areas of the forest require pets to remain on leashes. Visitors should be aware of these rules when bringing dogs to explore the space.
The Weyerbusch Tower contains 137 steps leading to a historic tower room with balconies that British troops sealed during 1945. These wartime marks remain visible on the structure today.
