Romantikerhaus, Literary museum in Jena, Germany.
The Romantikerhaus occupies a building from 1669 at Unterm Markt 12A, dedicated to the research and presentation of Early German Romanticism.
Originally the residence of philosopher Johann Gottlieb Fichte in 1795, the structure became a museum in 1981 focusing on German Early Romantic literature.
The permanent exhibition presents the Jena Republic of Scholars from 1800, with displays about Fichte's philosophy and the French Revolution's influence on Romanticism.
The museum opens Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00, offering free admission for visitors under 18 years of age.
After extensive renovation following damage in February 2021, the museum reopened in April 2022 with enhanced multimedia cultural exhibits.
