The castle complex unites five architectural epochs, featuring remnants of a 13th-century fortress and a three-story timber-framed residential building from 1480.
The Königsegg family acquired the property in 1381 and expanded it over centuries, transforming the defensive fortress into a baroque residence after the Thirty Years' War.
The Marble Hall contains stucco decorations by Johann Georg Dirr from 1778, depicting the four elements and seasons, while alabaster reliefs display scenes from ancient mythology.
Visitors can explore the castle Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with guided tours available every Sunday at 10:30 AM.
The Music Salon preserves original wallpapers from 1800, and adjacent rooms feature ceiling stucco and wall paneling in classical style from the late 19th century.
