Erbach Castle, Renaissance castle in Erbach an der Donau, Germany

The yellow Renaissance structure stands on a hillside with four corner towers and features a drawbridge entrance leading to an inner courtyard.

The castle's origins trace to the 12th century, with major Renaissance renovations completed in 1555 under Hans von Paumgarten's heir despite financial difficulties.

The castle maintains several period rooms, including the Maria Theresia Salon with numerous coats of arms and a traditional Delft-tiled oven from 1500.

Visitors can schedule guided tours for groups of 15 to 50 people, with admission fees set at 2.50 euros per person.

The basement of the castle houses both a restaurant and theater, contributing to the maintenance costs of this privately-owned historical structure.
