Schloss Molsberg, Baroque castle in Molsberg, Germany.
The castle stands on a basalt rock formation in the Westerwald region, featuring a residential structure surrounded by an English-style landscape garden.
Originally constructed as a fortress in 1030 by the Lords of Molsberg, the current baroque castle was built in 1760 to secure trade routes along the High Road.
The restored baroque chapel received a federal craftsmanship award for monument preservation in 2010, while the former garden pavilion now functions as the Walderdorff Gallery.
The castle grounds host annual Pentecost festivals and musical events, with the main entrance accessible through a lime tree avenue dating from the 18th century.
Since 1657, Schloss Molsberg has remained the ancestral seat of the Counts of Walderdorff, maintaining continuous family ownership for over 360 years.
