St. Johannis, Lutheran church in Wolfenbüttel, Germany.
The church features a three-nave timber frame structure built on a limestone base, with corner quoins and a saddle roof design.
Construction of St. Johannis began in 1661, with the church receiving its consecration ceremony on December 13, 1663 in Wolfenbüttel.
The interior contains elements transferred from Schloß Hessen, including an altar, pulpit, baptismal font, and an organ case from 1593.
Regular Protestant services take place at St. Johannis, with additional community gatherings and concerts scheduled throughout the year.
The original church tower was replaced in 1693 by a free-standing bell tower, which houses a historic bell from 1672 weighing 650 kilograms.
