St. Philipp and Jakob

The church features a three-nave hall design with a raised central nave and neo-Gothic star vault, complemented by lancet windows in the chancel.

Originally consecrated in 1136, the church underwent gothic reconstruction in 1445, retaining elements like the crypt and tower base from its earlier structure.

The church holds five bells in its tower, with the oldest dating from 1523 bearing inscriptions that reflect the religious traditions of medieval Bavaria.

Located at Stiftsberg 9 in Bad Grönenbach, the church maintains regular services and contains an organ with 35 registers on three manuals and a pedal board.

From 1559 to 1621, the church simultaneously served both Calvinist and Catholic congregations before returning exclusively to Catholic worship under Count Otto Fugger.
