St. Martin, Parish church in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.
The St. Martin church displays late Baroque architecture with a single nave, cross-style chapels, and Corinthian pilasters illuminated through curved windows.
Irish and Scottish monks established the first wooden church around 750, which was later replaced by a stone structure during the Romanesque period.
The church ceiling contains notable frescoes by Matthäus Günther, while the altar painting from 1734 depicts the Mantle Sharing of St. Martin.
Located at Marienplatz 6, the church welcomes visitors daily and provides guided tours to explain its architectural and historical elements.
The church tower features eight bronze bells, including one from 1513, while the remaining seven were cast in 1958.
