St.-Laurentius-Kirche

St. Laurentius Church is a three-nave columned basilica with a tall western tower and three portals depicting New Testament scenes. Columns divide the interior into distinct sections that create a sense of ordered space.

The church was founded in 1293 by Hedwig von Swende and served the city as a religious center for centuries. A major renovation between 1911 and 1913 under architect Ludwig Maier gave the building its current appearance.
