Weinheim Museum

Weinheim Museum is a local history museum housed in a building from 1710 and displays objects that tell the story of the town. The exhibition spreads across four floors and contains finds from prehistoric times, artworks, and other objects from different centuries.

The museum was founded in 1906 as a collection and moved to its current building in 1939. This house itself has a longer history and was once an important building in town.

The collection shows religious artworks and archaeological finds that document how people lived across different periods. You see here what mattered to people who lived in this region throughout the centuries.

The museum is easy to locate with large windows facing the street, so you can see the rooms from outside. It has a standard entrance with information, and you can start upstairs or downstairs depending on how much time you have.

Inside the museum stands a large touchscreen where you can explore 63 pages of Weinheim's history. You can browse through it and find surprising details about the past that are not shown anywhere else.
