Tram Museum Thielenbruch, Railway museum in Dellbrück, Germany

The Tram Museum Thielenbruch displays around twenty streetcars from different periods, ranging from horse-drawn carriages to electric vehicles from the 1960s, spread across indoor halls. The vehicles come from the Cologne public transport network and show how urban transit systems changed over time.

The museum opened in 1997 and preserves vehicles dating back to the 1870s. The collection documents how streetcar networks in Cologne developed from the earliest public transportation systems to modern times.

The collection includes original tickets, timetables, and uniforms that demonstrate the development of urban mobility systems in the Cologne metropolitan region.

The museum is located in the Dellbrück district and opens on Sundays, typically from spring through December. It is easy to walk around and offers both indoor and outdoor spaces to view the vehicles.

A highlight is a walk-in model of a modern metro driver's cab that lets visitors see what the job was like for streetcar operators. Visitors can also use a computer simulation to virtually ride old routes through the city.
